IGNEOUS II Identity: Jack Jackson
Powers:
Reduced Intelligence: Dumb as a stump.
Rick Jackson had a less-then-stellar career as the villain Igneous in the early 80's and eventually he retried, got married and had a son, Jack. Jack inherited some of his father's powers as well as his fathers "luck". Jack was lucky that he could control the powers better then his dad but unlucky that he did not inherit his fathers energy blast as well as his armour. Never much of a thinker, Jack figured that he would just glide through school on a sports scholarship and then become a villain like his dad. Jack took the name Igneous II and began a career as a hired thug for crooks who needed a little extra strength. Being something of an idiot and a natural born follower, it looked like Igneous II was never going to get much farther than his predecessor. That was until he met the Man. The Man convinced Igneous that he could offer him a chance that even his father never had--a chance to truly make a name for himself as a villain. Gullible and a natural born follower as he was, Igneous fell for the story hook, line and sinker and signed up on the spot. Since then Igneous has been making a name for himself as the muscle of the group known as the Trio Of Terror. He likes Ember's playful attitude but thinks Black Flash is a bit to bossy. Igneous is loyal to his teammates though, and is with the Trio 'til the end. Igneous wades into the middle of combat and pounds on things. He knows he's not fast so he just prefers to pick a spot and stand there hitting or throwing things. He relies on his armour and his strength to keep him out of trouble. Igneous is not above surrendering--should his ADR drop below 15 he may just throw his hands up and agree to come along quietly rather then getting hurt or letting anyone else get hurt. His one big ace in the hole is the fact that he is 100% fireproof. He can stand in the middle of an area that Ember has set ablaze and not take a single point of damage--a fact Ember is well aware of. Igenous is a natural born follower and is at his best when someone else is telling him what to do. Otherwise he just tends to sit around and watch TV. He is a bit of a chatterer in combat and likes to talk to his opponents while he is beating up on them. It is not unusual to have Igneous ask you what the emblem on your costume means while he is hitting you over the head with a bus. Some typical sayings of his include such gems as "Gosh, I don't know. . . I think the Clippers are going to go all the way this year, don't you? Oh wait, you can't answer that because I just dropped a wall on you. Sorry." and the frequently used "Huh?" Igneous II is ©2001 Michael L. Straus and Barry Osser. All rights reserved.
