If flying, the victim will fly in random directions be to rolled every round. PR=8.
  3. Special Weapon: A morphing hand-to-hand weapon that has been known to change form. It has the same cosmetic characteristics as the chaos field. Origin & Background: A man wearing a lab coat enters a boardroom. Conversations around the room stops as six faces turn to him. One wearing a general’s insignia speaks up, using a thunderous, command voice: "Doctor Talbot, I want to know what happened! We have funded your research for over ten years, you have a lot to answer for!"

The doctor sighs, "One moment, if you please. . . Your questions will be answered during my presentation." He makes his way to the projection board and turns to the group. "As you well know, this research was multifaceted. Mixing the latest in VR technology and behavioral assessment, we were to monitor a group of subjects and run them through a series of test designed to tap into the mind of those subjects. This had great business potential simply as the greatest game ever for the games industry." He nods to two of the group. "The military had designs on it as a testing and training technology, they also hinted in our many discussions to other uses." He nods to two other people in the group, including the general. "And the scientific community wants it has a behavioural testing grounds of sorts." He nods to the last two members of the group.

"So everyone, including me, has reasons for this project to work. The subject group was to be taken from the general population. We advertised it as a test for a new VR technology. We got 20 subjects from different socio-economical and racial backgrounds as well as age."

"As the test started, the interfacing with the subjects worked in various degrees. Some accepted it readily others not so. Our best results were with this subject number 11." He points to a picture on the board, that of a young man in his late teens/early twenties. "In our attempts to modify the coding for the interface for the other subjects, number 11 started sleeping restlessly. After some modifications yesterday, the interfacing worked properly for all subjects." He turns to the board and some footage of the subjects all hooked up with wires, hanging in harnesses, expressing woos and ahs. "Ten minutes in the programmed 'game' this occurred, pay special attention to subject 11."

The footage opens again on the group of subjects. They seem to be moving and looking about. Subject 11, suddenly goes into convulsions. A group of technicians rush towards him checking his vitals. He becomes ramrod strait as a technician attempts to remove the goggles from the subject. Subject 11 was silent until that moment, where he mumbles something, the only intelligible words are 'so beautiful.' The footage frozen there.

The doctor speaks up and says: "We still have not been able to understand what he said other than the obvious words. The next part is the most important."

As the goggles are removed a transformation occurs into subject 11. He becomes almost translucent, a bright white light emerges from his eyes and floods the room, enough light to blind the camera, then the light changes colors and starts a disturbing pattern. As is does so, the light recedes. Subject 11 is no more in his harness. The machines all around him are smoking, useless. All the other subjects are motionless and seemingly unconscious. The technicians are ambling about, aimlessly like the drooling idiots they have become. On the ground next to subject 11’s position is what seems to be the crumbled form of a man. It is very hard to discern any features. He stands, seems to look strait at the camera. Even standing, the man is unrecognizable. He has the form of a man. He is not very big, but is he skinny? Fat? Broad shouldered? Focusing on him bring a pang of pain. He approaches the camera and the only thing that can be focuses on is his eyes, big bright blue eyes. He keeps on walking like a dazed man.

The lights turn on and the doctor, pinching the bridge of his nose, says, "We are still trying to recuperate the computers attached to subject 11. Nothing seems to be working again. For your information, all the technicians present and the subjects have suffered severe traumatic experience. Some are catatonic, some have become drooling madmen, and at best they do not remember anything that occurred during the accident. We have nothing to go on. He simply walked out of the complex. Anyone coming into contact with him became disoriented to the point of not being able to think at all. I encountered him and I was also stricken."

"This, gentlemen, is what occurred yesterday. We have not been able to locate him so far. . . "

Combat Tactics / M.O.: Combat tactics? Ha! He's a hothead. Rush in, and wallop the bad guys. He will taunt his opponents, usually by horribly mangling their names or making some lame ones up. He never uses the chaos blast consciously. It's a survival/last attack--if he is helpless/frightened/getting beaten to a pulp, the attack will trigger on his next attack phase. It usually lasts long enough for him to limp away.

Personality / Character Traits: Kid is a chronic amnesiac. He doesn't remember anything that happened before his last sleep. Everyday is the first day of his life. He is somewhat childish, somewhat innocent in mentality. He brings out the mothering instinct in women, and the protective 'kid brother' reaction in most men.

Physical Description: Other than his incredibly beautiful big, blue eyes, the rest of his body is covered by a suit of swirling chaotic patterns. It's somewhat entrancing to look at, when he is at rest. During combat, the patterns become almost nauseating and very disturbing to look at.

GM Notes: Kaos Kid can be used as an adventure plot in itself: find his origins. Otherwise, he can become an annoying sidekick that never remembers anything and comes up with the most annoying questions at the worst possible time. Or he can be a way to introduce another villainous organisation. Or all of the above.
